Van Driver and Program Assistant
STEP is seeking a part-time Van Driver and Program Assistant for Victory Reading and Summer Enrichment. This position would be about 12-14 hours per week during the school year and 20 hours per week for 5 weeks during the summer. The pay rate is $20.70/hr. Duties include transporting children from G.W. Carver Elementary School to the program location, assisting with food service, cleaning, and administrative work during program hours, and transporting the children from the program to their homes in Gilpin Court. Applicant will need to have a valid VA driver’s license and a clean driving record with +5 safe driving points. This position will be eligible for STEP’s employer-matched IRA after the first year. Director of Workforce Development
STEP is seeking a full-time Director of Workforce Development. This position would facilitate the Jobs for Life program, develop and maintain a city-wide business network, and provide ongoing case management and support for graduates through the monthly Elevate program. This position includes evening hours and occasional weekend hours. The salary range is $48,000 - $54,000 based on experience.
